Top Offensive Rookie: Jordan Matthews: WR: no brainer if you ask me or anyone who knows football better then ESPN. They will sit here all day long and talk about Riley Cooper and make it seem like Jordan doesn't even exist but eventually they will have to give. NFC Rookie of the year right here. This kid is explosive has good hands and will develop a great chemistry with Nick Foles. We all know Maclin won't stay healthy for more then 5 games this season. Riley is nothing more then an occasional break out week receiver so Jordan is the stable work horse or this offense will come to rely on in the passing game starting week 1 you will see this kids impact.
Top Defensive Rookie: Marcus Smith: OLB: First round draft pick Marcus Smith isn't on the Eagles depth chart as a starter yet. But he sits behind Trent Cole who is climbing up there in age and could lead to injuries or just fatigue as the game goes on giving more snaps to Marcus. This kid out of Louisville could make a good not great but good impact on the eagles defense. He plays with a lot of intensity and could add some needed help on the Philly pass rush. He wont be anything amazing this season but he will be a good asset to this defense this season.
Most Crucial Offensive Player: Lesean McCoy: RB: This is no shock at all. The Eagles without LeSean McCoy are like the Packers without Aaron Rodgers. This guy leads this offense to success and he will more so this season after getting a year under the Chip Kelly system and bringing in Darren Sproles to lighten the workload when it comes to catching passes. This could be his peak season in his career. This might just be the best year he has in his NFL career. Don't be shocked if he makes a run at a record breaking season this year. (Pun not intended)
Most crucial Defensive player: DeMeco Ryans: LB: DeMeco brings a force to be reckoned with to this defense. This man is entering his 9th NFL season out of Alabama and he truly is an Alabama defender. He knows how to hit wrap up and play the linebacker spot so well. He brings a lot of physical presence and he brings a lot of leadership to this defense. I loved him in Houston and I have loved him so far in Philly. He might be at the beginning of his downslope in his career but you couldn't tell watching him play the game. If he can stay healthy this season he might be able to help this Philly D get a top 12 ranking this season.
