This week, we begin with some classic matchups. The Detroit Lions host the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas Cowboys host the Carolina Panthers. The Lions and Cowboys are Thanksgiving mainstays, and it's just not Thanksgiving without watching them play. The best matchup of the day is the night game, and I'd like to suggest making this game an annual Thanksgiving tradition. On Thursday night, the Green Bay Packers the Chicago Bears as Brett Favre returns to Lambeau Field to have his number retired. These should all be pretty good games. The Eagles are slumping as the Lions improve. The Panthers seem unstoppable but the Cowboys are strong with Romo. Bears-Packers is a rivalry game that could go either way regardless of the strength of both teams (although Favre's return offers an emotional boost to Green Bay). Who will win this Thursday? Here are some picks!
Philadelphia Eagles @ Detroit Lions. The Eagles look lifeless right now. The Lions are finally looking like a team that has found an identity. Last week the Detriot defense looked decent, while the Eagles offense struggled. I expect those trends to continue this week as the Lions win this game at home. Final score: Lions 21, Eagles 7.
Carolina Panthers @ Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are a much better team with Tony Romo under center, and are a team in must-win mode as their season is practically over. The Panthers, however, are a much better team than the Cowboys. Carolina could lose this week, but I expect them to win in a close game. Final score: Panthers 21, Cowboys 20.
Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers. Under normal circumstances, this would be a relatively tough game to pick. However, Brett Favre will return to Lambeau for this game, and I expect Aaron Rodgers to show up this week in a very big way. The Bears are improving, but the Packers are still a playoff caliber team, and Eddie Lacy had a solid game last week (finally). Final score: Packers 44, Bears 14.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Detroit Lions.Philadelphia 21 Detroit 17
Carolina Panthers @ Dallas Cowboys. Carolina 35 Dallas 14
Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers. Green Bay 42 Chicago 28
Eagles @ Lions: The Lions defense has refound itself. The Eagles looked like a class A joke against the Buccaneers last week. I hear alot of things out of that camp saying they do not all get along with Chip Kelly a coach i think is meant for NCAAF not the NFL. Not agreeing with your coach can cause turmoil and lack of hustle/ motivation so i think we could see the eagles falter on Thanksgiving. One thing the Eagles and Eagles fans won't be thankful for this year is Chip Kelly. Lions win 30 - 21 over the Eagles.
Panthers @ Cowboys: Picking this game is as difficult as trigonometry to me. I said it all along once the Cowboys get Romo back they could roll undefeated. I made a huge mistake called not looking at their schedule. They still have to play undefeated Cam Newton and company and the Packers in Lambeau. I think in Primetime Cam and company are going to step up and prove why they are the number one team in the NFL not New England. Panthers win 31 - 27 Over the Cowboys.
Bears @ Packers: this one is going to be funny. How do you make Lambeau Field even tougher to play at? Well you make it thanksgiving, make it primetime, retire a legends number, enter legend into ring of honor, have legend be fan favorite (owns a resturant across the street from Lambeau), have confident QB who wants to prove he is better then legend, and you give them their most hated rivalries (longest in the NFL). Lambeau is going to be absolutely off the chain tonight. We honestly might not be able to hear the commentating is how crazy this place will be. If your a member of the Chicago Bears or their fan base I'm sorry but you will not want to attend this game. Packers win 45 - 17 over the Bears. p.s. the legend being retired, Brett Favre
