Saints @ Panthers: The Saints should have won last week but due to a "blocked" PAT they lost against the Broncos. There were two penalties during that block on the block that weren't called and nobody in the media wants to mention that because the Broncos are the media's love child. The Panthers flat out lost this weekend and they are still the favorite after chocking away a 17 point lead to a team who doesn't have a potent offense. This time they are facing a team that destroyed them last time until they fell asleep late and gave the game right back to Carolina. The Panthers need to win this game if they want any hope at getting a wildcard spot this year. The Saints could win this game and find a way to be right in the mix-up for the divisional lead. Yeah i think this game will be a good one but I think the underdog here wins. Saints win 30 - 26 over the Panthers. ----- Matt Koontz (80-66)
The Saints won this game when the Panthers failed to address their defensive holes this offseason. Instead of shoring up their secondary, the Panthers gutted the unit, making this game look like an offensive matchup. That means the team with the better offense should win this game, which is, in this case, the New Orleans Saints. Saints win this one. Final score: New Orleans Saints 35, Carolina Panthers 28. --Mike B. (75-71).
Saints over Panthers 35-24
Saints over Panthers 33-27
Panthers are in a must win situation. Carolina upsets New Orleans 28-24
Saints @ Panthers: Finally, we have a good TNF game. Its been a bore fest the past couple of weeks, so its nice to see some better teams take the prime-time slot. This is going to be a close game. The Saint's defense really struggles to stop anyone, but the Saint's offense just puts up enough points to counter that. The Saints and the Falcons have been playing very similarly this season, scoring a lot of points but not playing very well on defense. If the Saint's defense can stop the Panthers, this will be an easy win for New Orleans. The Panthers are very inconsistent in their wins and losses, so it will be hard to determine if Carolina will put up a strong fight against the Saints. My prediction: Saints win, 37-30.
