Michigan was just as we expect it to be. Fast with not much excitement early but a drama show late. We saw Kyle Larson win his 3rd straight at Michigan in an exciting fashion. Erik Jones impressed me all race long and I found myself rooting for him late because this kid deserves a playoff spot. On the final restart with 3 to go Jones and Truex spun their tires and Larson shot the middle from row 2 and bounced off Truex and cleared for the lead. The top 5 at the end of the race were as follows. Kyle Larson, Martin Truex Jr, Erik Jones, Ryan Newman, and Trevor Bayne. This was an exciting race for stage 3.
The Glenn saw two dominant cars and no shocker that Kyle Bush and Martin Truex Jr were those two dominant cars. It became a fuel race at the end and Truex saved gas continuously for the last 15 laps or so and let people pass because he knew they couldn't make it on fuel and with 3 laps to go after Brad Kaselowski pit and Ryan Blaney ran out of gas he resumed the lead and won the race over Kenseth in a close finish.
