First off, I'd like to wish a happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and a thank you to all of our men and women in uniform overseas who are unable to be with their families this holiday season. Thank you for your service, and you are on our minds.
This year's Thanksgiving games actually look pretty good. Here are my picks:
Dallas vs. Philly: This game could legitimately decide the outcome of this division. The Eagles are looking good even with Sanchez, but the Cowboys are the healthier team. I think Mark Sanchez, who is playing way better as an Eagle, makes one or two key mistakes this week and the Cowboys win the game, 28-27.
Chicago vs. Detroit: Your Thanksgiving Inconsistency Bowl! The Lions and Bears are both playing streaky football this year. That being said, the Bears are still who we thought they were. A very bad team. The Lions aren't going to let them off the hook. Final score: Lions 45, Bears 14. Suh does a dance over Jay Cutler's body after stomping on him.
San Francisco vs. Seattle: Both of these teams badly need a win this week. The Seahawks aren't what they once were, with only Doug Baldwin...and a cardboard cutout of Doug Baldwin....at WR. That being said, Marshawn Lynch carries the offense on his shoulders, and the Seachickens eke out a much needed win. Final score: Seahawks 27, 49ers, 24.
I would also like to wish you all a very happy thanksgiving enjoy family food and good football.
Eagles @ Cowboys: The Cowboys won last week but it was not pretty the Giants made it tough as they could and wore them out on Sunday night. The Eagles dominated the Titans as expected because they had an easy game n their last tough one was a slaughter in Lambeau and that's not a good sign because they are on the road against a good team and division rival. I'm picking the Cowboys at home. 37 -33.
Bears @ Lions: three weeks ago I would have said Detroit hands down. But the Lions have been really bad 2 weeks running and just can't seem make anything happen offensively. The Bears aren't looking good regardless of winning they are beating losing record team that are nothing special otherwise they get spanked. This game is actually really hard to call I'm going home team again. Lions win 42 - 26 in a massacre.
Seahawks @ 49ers this one blows my mind 2 division rivals and they are playing each other for the first time in week 13?! who makes this schedule u need to be fired. Seahawks actually impressed last week by beating the cardinals who in my opinion is top 3 with green bay and new england. The Niners have had a hard time at home winning some but they have been close like almost losing to the Redskins. I have stated before that Kaepernick is the worst starting qb in the nfl and I don't think anyone on the Niners is that special offensively with him and Hardbaugh on the teams. I take Hawks 24- 17. Sherman picks off worthless Kaep on final drive again.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Try not to kill the relatives you hate, and stuff your face with a ton of food.
Bears @ Lions - The Lions haven't won in 2 games, but they'll bounce back this week. They're playing at home against a weak team, so their offense may stand a chance. Although if Stafford can't complete many passes like last week, its going to be a long game for their offense. As for their defense, they need to come back a lot stronger than last week, and not allow many yards. I think this week will truly tell how well the Lions will do the rest of the season, and how well Megatron will finish the season. Stafford will pull out a win, but he'll make it much harder than it needs to be. Lions win, 27-21.
Eagles @ Cowboys - This is going to be the game of the day. Both teams are tied at 8-3 in the NFC East, and would gladly take first place. This is obviously a must-win game for both teams, and its going to come to the final minutes of the 4th quarter. The Eagles looked great last week against the Titans, but it wasn't much competition. The Cowboys pulled out a win after the 11 point deficit at half time, only winning by a field goal. It's going to be interesting to see how these teams will match up. I've got the Cowboys winning due to home field advantage, 33-30.
Seahawks @ 49ers - This is going to yet another tight game. The 49ers have really struggled at home this year, and the Seahawks beat the #2 team in the NFL as of last week. That win gave the Seahawks a huge boost, and its going to propel them into a win against the 49ers, 20-16.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Remember to give thanks for all your blessings, watch lots of football, and spend time with the people you love!
Dallas vs. Philadelphia: This will be the most exciting game of the day in my opinion. The eagles tend to be more dynamic, but the Cowboys tend to be more consistent on offense. Who wins? I think the Eagles pull it out using special teams, Eagles, 30-24.
Chicago vs. Detroit: this game is tough to call, the Bears don't usually look good, they do win enough Key games to not be totally dismissed. I'm going to bet on the lions defense in this one, though. Lions, 17-13.
Seattle vs. San Francisco: I don't think the niners have won any games worth bragging about. The Hawks just drubbed the Cardinals at home last week. Niners are at home though, so the Game won't be quite so lopsided. Hawks, 24-14.
