This week on Thursday Night Football, two young teams with lots of holes and lots of young talent square off against each other. While the Titans are 2-7 and the Jaguars are 3-6, both of these teams have some solid young players. In Tennessee, rookies Dorial Green-Beckham and Marcus Mariota join TE Delanie Walker to form the core of a young offense. The offense is struggling still in Tennessee, but defensive genius Dick LeBeau has built a surprisingly tough defense in Tennessee in the twilight of his NFL career. In Jacksonville, the Jaguars have a young and up-and-coming roster with Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, TJ Yeldon, and Allen Hurns on offense. On defense, linebacker Telvin Smith (one of my favorite linebackers from his draft class) cements a decent-at-times Jacksonville defense. Smith could develop into a Pro Bowl-caliber linebacker in the next couple of seasons, and it's nice to get a chance to see him play. This game actually has some surprising playoff implications. The Jaguars are only one game out of first place in the AFC South. The Titans are only two games out of first. Both of these teams still have a mathematical chance of making the playoffs if they can mount a run.
This is a game that could go either way. I think the Titans are on the verge of turning around, but they still need some very major help in numerous places. The Jaguars are better off, and have more young weapons as a whole. While the Jacksonville offense is still struggling at times, I think they do enough to compete this week. This should be a close game, but at the end of the day, I think the Jaguars are the better team, if only slightly. I'm excited to get to see Dorial Green-Beckham and Telvin Smith both play this week, but the Jaguars are slightly more complete. I'm picking Jacksonville to win this game at home. Final score: Jaguars 24-Titans 21. --Mike B. (85-60)
i dont like this game for either team but they are both close enough to battle for division lead so that makes this interesting. Titans 31 - Jaguars 24 . mariota looks good in the limelight.

Jacksonville 24, Tennessee 17. -Jared M.
