Here is NFL Week 10 as the bye weeks start to wind down. The Falcons, Colts, Chargers, and 49ers are all on bye. I am sorry for some of our writers neglecting Thursday nights games...... I am truly sorry to our readers. Anyway here is week 10 run down.
Week 10 in the NFL
Lions (1-7) @ Packers (6-2): This game should be open and shut in Lambeau and the Packers are looking to turn around a 0-2 run since their bye week. Packers win 34 – 17 over the Lions.
Cowboys (2-6) @ Buccaneers (3-5): This game is hard to really figure out, the Cowboys are getting close to winning without Romo. That being said I think the Bucs are still rising and the last game without Romo will prove too much for the Cowboys. Buccaneers win 23 – 20 over the Cowboys.
Panthers (8-0) @ Titans (2-6): Panthers are scary good and it came out of nowhere. This team’s defense and Cam’s ability to do what it takes to get this team wins is hard to stop right now. The Titans are not as bad as their record shows, Mariota back this team actually looks really good now. I am excited to see this team develop with a healthy Mariota. Panthers win 31 – 20 over the Titans.
Bears (3-5) @ Rams (4-4): The Bears pulled off an impressive win last week on the road, but it was against a pretty bad team in San Diego. The Rams played a brutal game last week, and it was so absolutely tough for them and they lost in OT to a really good Minnesota team. Rams bounce back big here and Todd Gurley gets a 3 TD game. Rams win 37 – 10 over the Bears.
Saints (4-5) @ Redskins (3-5): Saints are bouncing around between a dominant offense and a mediocre offense. The Saints have the offensive weapons to become a dominant offense if they can figure out consistency and stay healthy. The Redskins are struggling a bit and their defense is a pretty unit and they could slow down the Saints. I honestly don’t think though that their offense is good enough to keep up with the Saints offense, regardless of the Skins defense. Saints win 27 – 23 over the Redskins.
Dolphins (3-5) @ Eagles (4-4): Well this could be some sloppy fun or an offensive showdown. I think the Dolphins offense is going to have some fun with the Eagles low end defense. The Eagles offense will have fun with the Dolphins lack of a defense and this will hopefully turn into a shootout in Philly. Eagles win 34 – 28 over the Dolphins.
Browns (2-7) @ Steelers (5-4): Landry Jones it is your turn to redeem yourself in my eyes. This game is at home against a browns team who hasn’t seemed to be lights out this year like before. Joe Haden has been playing top level again, shutting down AJ Green, now looking to shut down Antonio Brown. This game could be a defensive battle or Jones and McCown could do a little damage I am not sure which one will be the case honestly. Steelers win 20 – 17 over the Browns.
Jaguars (2-6) @ Ravens (2-6): This will be a fun game between two bad teams with no hopes to go anywhere this year but an earlier draft pick. The Jaguars are trying to put their pieces together and are only 2 games back in their terrible division. If they can pick up this win it could be instrumental to still making a run for the division. The Ravens are off a bye week and are going to be without Steve Smith Sr. as he tore his Achilles 2 weeks ago against the Chargers. The Ravens have no hope at the division and honestly are almost out of hope to win out and make the wildcard. I think it is time to be realistic and take the earliest pick possible and get Joe Flacco, Corey Coleman in the draft. That being said I think the Ravens have more parts of the puzzle. Ravens win 30 – 26 over the Jaguars.
Vikings (6-2) @ Raiders (4-4): I honestly like the Raiders this season and seeing their talent finally becoming something. This game will be too much for Del Rio and company. Vikings win 32 – 24 over the Raiders.
Patriots (8-0) @ Giants (5-4): Oooohhhhh, this could be the game the Patriots lose. Eli and company seem to stop the Patriots, will history repeat itself. I think the Patriots are the best team in the NFL and the Giants have a good offense with a terrible defense. UPSET ALERT!!!!!!!! Giants win 38 – 30 over the Patriots.
Chiefs (3-5) @ Broncos (7-1): This game should be open and shut. Broncos win 27 – 10 over the Chiefs.
Cardinals (6-2) @ Seahawks (4-4): I mean the Seahawks need to win this game. They are incredibly talented but it seems like their offense is not melding together. Pete Carroll needs to put the pieces missing together soon because the Cardinals are pulling away and the Rams are right there with the Hawks battling for a possible wild card spot. Now Arizona on the other hand, their offense is lethal and their defense is a little bit weak which is surprising but it doesn’t seem to be affecting them. I really am having a hard time with this game but it is in Seattle and that is the only real reason why it is tough to call. Cardinals win 22 – 19 over the Seahawks
Texans (3-5) @ Bengals (8-0): This is Monday night football? Well I guess we get to see JJ Watt. Bengals win 39 – 17 over the Texans.
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers. The Lions are historically terrible at Lambeau. The Packers are looking for a rebound game. They get that against the Lions. Final score: Packers 27, Lions 14.
Dallas Cowboys @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Romo watch continues. Another week without Romo, another opponent looking to cash in. The Bucs are starting to figure things out, and will win this one at home. Final score: Buccaneers 14, Cowboys 7.
Carolina Panthers @ Tennessee Titans. Upset alert. The Titans are finally figuring things out on defense, but so are the Panthers. Carolina has a dominant team, and should be tough to beat. However, Dick LeBeau makes miracles happen this week, and the Titans win. Final score: Titans 24,Panthers 21.
Chicago Bears @ St. Louis Rams. The Rams are the better team. The Bears? Well they are who we thought they were, and they're going to lose this game. Final score: Rams 27, Bears 7.
New Orleans Saints @ Washington Redskins. The Saints are finally finding their groove, and the Redskins are hit-or-miss at best. New Orleans capitalizes against an average Washington team to win this game. Final score: Saints 24, Redskins 14.
Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers. If Josh McCown was starting this game, I'd pick the Browns to win. However, Johnny Manziel is, and I'm not convinced that he is ready to be an NFL starter. The Steelers win this game, even with Landry Jones at QB. Final score: Steelers 27, Browns 7.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Baltimore Ravens. There is one thing at stake in this game. A draft pick. Both of these teams are in the running for the #1 pick in 2016. The Ravens are going to be the harder team to beat at home, since Flacco is generally solid there. Ravens win, 14-13.
Minnesota Vikings @ Oakland Raiders. Two surprisingly playoff-relevant teams face off this week in this matchup. The Raiders have the potential to be a solid team moving forward, but the Vikings have more weapons. Vikings will win, barely. Final score: Vikings 27, Raiders 24.
New England Patriots @ New York Giants. The Giants are good at one thing. Beating Bill Belichick. That trend continues this week, as the Giants upset the Patriots in New York. Final score: Giants 35, Patriots 28.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos. This is a rivalry game with two teams struggling in their own ways. The Chiefs are in a tailspin due to major injury issues. The Broncos are struggling on offense but playing great defense. Great defense is enough for the Broncos to win this game. Final score: Broncos 35, Chiefs 27.
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks need to win this game to save their season. The Cardinals are the better team this year, but I expect Seattle to play hard at home. Seahawks win. Final score: Seahawks 24, Cardinals 23.
Houston Texans @ Cincinnati Bengals. Upset alert again. The Bengals are a dominant team, but they still could struggle on Monday night against the Texans. They should win this game, but the Texans are a better team than the Browns, and this game will be a good test for Cincinnati's prime time ability. If the Bengals win this game, they also win a playoff game this season. Guaranteed (barring major injuries). However, I'm going to call a struggle for Cincy this week. Texans win. Final score: Texans 27, Bengals 14.
