Broncos @ Chiefs (8:25 PM/ET): The Broncos looked like a mess against the Ravens, in Denver, none-the-less. The Broncos, Peyton Manning looks like it is his final season week one due to his absolutely nightmarish performance, one that he was lucky to survive through. Joe Flacco didn't have a good game either though and that was the Bronco's saving factor. Now the Chiefs on the other hand come out firing on all cylinders on the road against a great Texans defense. Once Kelce went down it seems like the Chiefs lost their way. They nearly blew a 20 point lead at 27-7 and the game finished a 27-20 score. This game is going to be either close all the way through or the Chiefs will dominate the Broncos who just look lost under Kubiak. I am going to pick the Chiefs to win. Chiefs win 24 - 16 over the Broncos.

Thursday night game. Denver 35 Kansas City 31 I believe Peyton Manning comes out firing to show all the non believers that he still has it. He will throw for 250+ yards and 3 touchdowns. Anderson will have a decent day running, notching 75 yards and a touchdown. Kansas City will get down early but battle their way back into it, with both Maclin and Kelce getting a touchdown a piece. Charles will have more receiving yards than rushing, and have at least one touchdown as well. In a high scoring game where defenses are left bending, the Chiefs just bent a little more.

The sky is falling! Peyton is on the decline!! While I don't believe that Peyton Manning is entirely done, I see shades of Dan Marino in his final season. there will be very bad games, where Manning looks like where he is already retired. That being said, Manning will also have very good games at some points in this season. The Broncos will have to rely on defense to keep them competitive this year, and what a defense this is.
When the schedule was released, who would have thought this would be a defensive matchup? Most people probably figured that Peyton vs. Jamaal Charles would be the main storyline. Now we're looking at two of the most suffocating defenses in football going head to head. This should be a pretty low-scoring game. The Broncos defense will be good enough to slow (but not stop entirely) Jamaal Charles. The Chiefs defense will be good enough to slow down Peyton Manning heavily. Final score? The Broncos squeak out a close one, 21-20.

This may be the hardest game to call this week. Is Peyton really shot? I think so. I think he'll have some good games, but the majority of Denver's offense will come from running the ball this season. The Chiefs looked incredible in the first half of last week's game, but their offense stagnated some in the second. Bottom line, this will be a defensive game. Denver has the better defense in my opinion, but KC has Arrowhead Stadium. Watch out Peyton!
So what's the final call? This game will come down to who can run the football more consistently. I would dare to say that the two backs with the most carries in this game will be Charles and Hillman. An almost impossible decision, but I'll take KC at home in this one, 28-24.

Bronocs @ Chiefs - This game is going to be a close one. Many people think that Alex Smith is a bad QB. I don't think he's fantastic, but he's better then people give him credit for. I think he showed his talents last week against the Texans, and I think he will show them again tonight. Last week, the Broncos looked shaky against a team that they should have blown out of the water. This week, the Broncos have a lot more to worry about. I'm going with the Chiefs at home on this one, 23-17.
