.Week 13 of the NFL: The final 2 bye weeks are here and it kills my fantasy team to have Corey Coleman and Terrell Pryor both off the week before the playoffs. Yes, the 0-12 Browns are finally getting their week off and they share this week with the team I think could win the AFC South, the Tennessee Titans. This week has some great matchups but it also has some boring one’s. Here is how we see it all unfolding.
Chiefs @ Falcons: This game is interesting. The Chiefs are coming off a wild and crazy ending in which they picked up a win over their division rival Broncos. The Falcons are coming off a beat down of the Cardinals. The Chiefs will need their offense to be firing on all cylinders if they want to win this one and their defense will need to get to Matty-Ice if they want to stop that Falcons offense. I really think that both teams need this win if they want to stay in the playoffs because the Chiefs have a hungry group of AFC contenders starting to surface for that wild card spot. While the Falcons have a Buccaneers team that nobody expected sticking right behind them in the divisional race. The game is in Atlanta and I think that could be the difference maker. Falcons win 26 – 20 over the Chiefs.
Lions @ Saints: This Lions team has come from nowhere this year and their defense has been a huge contributor. Not that they are great but they just have been playing better than most expected this year and Matt Stafford has been brilliant with the ball this season. The issue the Lions will face entering this game is that they are going up against the best offense in the league in New Orleans. The Saints will need their defense to show up this week if they want to win this game though because Brees can’t carry this team on his shoulders every single week. This one could be a final drive decider and that makes this one so freaking exciting for true fans. Saints win 31 – 28 over the Lions on a Will Lutz game winner.
Rams @ Patriots: Well this one is a no brainer. Jeff Fisher said they will be better than 9-7 this year but for the Rams to even finish 9-7 they will have to win out including this game. We might see the end of Jeff Fisher as a head coach after this season due to the poor performance of this team’s offense. The Patriots came off a nail biter against the Jets but that tends to happen in divisional matchups from time to time, doesn’t mean the Patriots aren’t as good as we thought they were. Patriots win 30 – 18 over the Rams.
Broncos @ Jaguars: The Broncos just lost a heart-breaking game to the Chiefs and they will now need to travel to the east coast for their next game. This game to most fans is an open and shut case but I would like them to humor me a minute and look at the Jaguars defense. The Jags boast the 6th ranked defense in the NFL and its shocking nobody is mentioning that. The Broncos are the 4th ranked defense I am aware but they are traveling across the country in this one. The difference maker in this game in my eyes is Paxton Lynch at the helm for the Broncos. If he is NFL ready at this point the Broncos just got an upgrade at QB. I love Paxton's talent he is so incredible and his ceiling is the moon. I got Broncos with Lynch and Jags without Hurns, Broncos win 27 - 20 over the Jaguars.
Texans @ Packers: The Packers get to head home and host the AFC South leading Texans. The Pack picked up an impressive win on Monday night in a game where most experts were giving them no shot to win. Eagles fans are blaming the refs but what’s new right? The offense looked great with Rodgers finally getting back in rhythm and Devante Adams and Jordy were top WR’s once again. The run game is a joke in Green Bay but they do have Ripkowski who I have fallen in love with at FB who is running the ball honestly better than the RB’s they have been using. The Texans on the other hand survive on the back of their defense and Lamar Miller. Brock at QB is a joke and he can’t honestly be their QB for the future. I sure hope not at least. The Texans if they want to win this game need to stop Aaron Rodgers and just win the field position battle early. If the Packers want to win this game and get a shot at closing the gap on the Lions they need to use their 7th ranked rush defense to force Brock to win the game for the Texans. Packers win 27 – 23 over the Texans.
Eagles @ Bengals: The Eagles are rolling into Cincinnati off a tough loss to Green Bay in which for the first time this year they allowed a QB to throw for 300 yards. Their fan base can say it was the refs fault but they didn’t deserve the win off a couple missed calls because I know there were some the other way too. The Eagles need to admit their year is done get ready for the draft and get Wentz a damn WR because their WR’s that aren’t named Jordan Matthews suck. They should also probably get a top RB because Smallwood and Ryan Matthews aren’t a number one RB and Sproles is a great dump and let run option but he can’t carry a team week in and week out. Now they are facing a terribly coached and struggling Bengals team. The Bengals are a huge disappointment this year and I believe a lot of it comes from coaching and a bad O-line. I think the Eagles pass rush will force Dalton to fumble two times in this game and force one bad throw leading to a win for the road team. Side note the Bengals will once again be without AJ. Eagles win 28 – 18 over the Bengals. Basically ending all hopes for the Bengals playoffs this year.
Dolphins @ Ravens: The Dolphins will travel to M&T Bank Stadium and face the division leading Ravens in hope to keep in the mix for the wildcard spot in the AFC. Unfortunately for the Dolphins they will be facing the 2nd ranked defense in the league in their home stadium and to make it worse the Dolphins offense is even ranked below the Ravens bad offense. The Ravens are having a Raven type year, defense do the work and the offense do the minimal requirement to win. I know this sounds crazy but I think the Ravens have the MVP of the league on their roster and people think I am nuts for saying it. I think Justin Tucker should be considered for MVP. The guy makes 57 yard field goals look like a walk in the park. He is still perfect on the year and is actually outscoring his QB this season thus far in the point category. I would argue he is responsible for the Ravens leading the division because I think without him they would be a sub-.500 team. The Dolphins might be on a winning streak but the Steelers are the only team they have beat with a winning record during that run. I am not convinced these guys are really a playoff team and this will be their test. Ravens win 22 – 17 over the Dolphins.
49ers @ Bears: Welcome NFL fans to the worst game of the season. I seriously have no idea what to say about this game except for the Kaepernick is an unpatriotic moron and isn’t really a QB he is a publicity stunt that can run better than he can throw. The Bears need to stop his running and force him to beat them with his weak flimsy inaccurate arm. I hope my boy from Calvert Hall who graduated the year after me Adrian Amos gets a big shot on Kaepernick in this game and forces a fumble. I don’t do this much but I am rooting for the Bears to win this game and my bias will show in my pick Jordan Howard runs for 170 yards and 2 TD’s against the 49ers in this one. Bears win 34 – 21 over the 49ers.
Bills @ Raiders: Tyrod should have fun with the Raiders defense in this one if he avoids Khalil Mack of course. It was good to see Sammy back last week for the Bills it gives them some hope for the future now if he can stay healthy that maybe they can reach the playoffs next year. Unfortunately though for the Bills hopes this season they will be crushed after this game because nobody can really slow down Dereck Carr and that offense. This game shouldn’t be much of a test for the Raiders especially inside the black hole. Raiders win 31 – 23 over the Bills.
Giants @ Steelers: Alright this one should be fun because we got Odell and Antonio Brown, we have Eli and Big Ben, and we have Le’Veon vs practically nobody for the Giants at RB. The Giants though do have a great secondary with Landon Collins and Janoris Jenkins leading the crew. The Steelers defense is a question mark every single week and they have to face a great WR corps on the other side. The Giants are pretty significant underdogs heading into this matchup and I haven’t quite figured out why yet. Giants win 27 – 24 over the Steelers.
Redskins @ Cardinals: The Redskins offense is a top offense in the league while their defense has
its issues. The Cardinals have been just a team lost and I think it is due to Carson Palmer and the offensive line. This game should be fun just because Arizona is playing for its slim hopes at the playoffs and the Redskins are playing to stay in the wildcard. Redskins win 30 – 26 over the Cardinals.
Buccaneers @ Chargers: This will be a sling fest between two inconsistent defenses. The Buccaneers defense looked amazing last week against Seattle and the Chargers defense shows up at times and other times looks horrible. The difference is Rivers and Melvin are having a better year than Winston and Doug Martin and the other RB’s. Mike Evans will be shadowed in this game without a doubt by league leading INT man Casey Hayward. Jameis Winston better be careful throwing in that direction because Casey is playing at defensive MVP level. This game will come down to which RB can swing the momentum more in their teams favor. For the second time this Sunday I think this could be another game where it might come down to final possession. If the Buccaneers want to make the playoffs this game is basically a must win to keep pace with Atlanta. I’ll keep with my trend of the year. Chargers win 21 – 18 over the Buccaneers.
Panthers @ Seahawks: Both teams coming in off a loss last week, one was an upset the other basically eliminated the respective team from the playoffs. The Panthers have has issues with their “MVP” QB Cam Newton. He has had a horrible year and last week against the Raiders high octane offense on a 4th and 1 with 4 min left in a tie game on the Raiders side of the field they PUNTED. They have been 75% of the time successful on 4th and 1 this year with Cam and they PUNTED it back to Dereck Carr. Doesn’t that show a lack of faith in Cam? The Seahawks on the other hand couldn’t get anything right last week against the Buccaneers and they showed they aren’t strong on the road once again. That sadly has seemed to be a trend of the Seahawks over the past 5 years at least. This game is back in-front of the Seattle faithful and that is the biggest advantage any team has this year. I don’t think Cam and company are good what-so-ever. Seahawks win 32 – 20 over the Panthers.
MNF 8:30 PM/ET:
Colts @ Jets: SNOOZE FEST on Monday night football. I wish this game could be Sunday night if it had to have primetime so I can just watch the Walking Dead instead but I will have to DVR it and watch it during this game instead. So in this game we are talking about a Colts team still in the running for the playoffs and a Jets team with a horrible QB and average ground game. The Colts have the 15th ranked offense with a QB people call top 5 and I say bull-crap to me he is about 9th. The Colts biggest issue is their 30th ranked defense and that should be a concern if they think they will last in the playoffs they are crazy. The Jets on the other hand have the 12th ranked defense and the offense is 22nd in the league. The defense shocks me because before the year I thought the Jets defense could be top 5 this year but they a tad above average so I guess that is good. The Jets offense is a joke because well, Fitzpatrick. He is just horrendous to watch and such a shame for the Jets fans who thought he was the answer. This game will be interesting because the Colts must see this as a must win while the Titans are on bye-week. Because I agree with Colin Cowherd the Texans aren’t a playoff team due to their QB and the Titans and Colts play like they are true playoff teams. This is a must win for the Colts though if you ask me and I think Luck is better than Fitz even if luck had a broken right arm. Colts win 23 – 14 over the Jets.

Houston Texans @ Green Bay Packers. This is a game that the Packers should win, but this is a Packers team that I can't trust, at all. Even with Osweiler under center, I think the Texans squeak out a close one. Texans win. Final score: Houston Texans 14, Green Bay Packers 7.
Denver Broncos @ Jacksonville Jaguars. I want to pick the Jaguars to win this game, but even with Paxton Lynch starting for the Broncos, the Jacksonville Jaguars offense is still making too many mental mistakes to do well against this Denver defense. Broncos win (barely) in a low-scoring game. Final score: Denver Broncos 10, Jacksonville Jaguars 7.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Cincinnati Bengals. One of these teams has no wide receivers. The other has no discipline, or kicker. The Bengals are playing very bad football right now with a kicker who has missed three consecutive extra points and a coaching staff that can't put together a disciplined, consistent performance to save their lives. Eagles win as the Bengals bungle it out towards a losing season. Final score: Philadelphia Eagles 24, Cincinnati Bengals 17.
Miami Dolphins @ Baltimore Ravens. Both of these teams are surprisingly good this season. The Ravens are contending for a divisional title and the Dolphins are squarely in contention for a wildcard berth. The Dolphins are hot right now, and I think they eke out another win against the Ravens. Final score: Miami Dolphins 23, Baltimore Ravens 21.
San Francisco 49ers @ Chicago Bears. And now, the sloppiest game of the week! The 49ers have been hot in recent weeks, but I can't trust Kaepernick. The Bears are starting Matt Barkley under center, and this could be a good game for the 49ers. However, I can't bring myself to pick Kaepernick to win anything. Bears win. Final score: Chicago Bears 21, San Francisco 49ers 20.
LA Rams @ New England Patriots. The Rams look better with Goff, but they're not good enough to beat the Patriots, especially Brandon and Danny. Patriots win. Final score: New England Patriots 35, LA Rams 14.
Detroit Lions @ New Orleans Saints. The Lions are doing really well right now, but the Saints are the better team overall. Saints should win this one. Final score: New Orleans Saints 42, Detroit Lions 35.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are one of the best teams in football. The Chiefs are good, but not good enough to knock off the Dirty Birds at home. Falcons win! Final score: Atlanta Falcons 27, Kansas City Chiefs 17.
Buffalo Bills @ Oakland Raiders. This is going to be a tough game for the Bills to win. The Raiders are firing on all cylinders and are one of the best teams in the AFC. They take this game at home. Final score: Oakland Raiders 24, Buffalo Bills 14.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ San Diego Chargers. This could be the game of the week. Both of these teams are pushing hard for a playoff berth. The Buccaneers are suddenly hot, but the Chargers are going to be tough to beat at home. I think the Chargers squeeze out a close one. Final score: San Diego Chargers 21, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20.
New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers. The Giants hot streak finally ends in Pittsburgh as the Steelers offense and Le'Veon Bell are too much for the Giants to handle. Final score: Pittsburgh Steelers 35, New York Giants 28.
Washington Redskins @ Arizona Cardinals. One of these teams is playing good football this year. It's not the Cardinals. Redskins win this one on the road. Final score: Washington Redskins 24, Arizona Cardinals 21.
Carolina Panthers @ Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are one of the best teams in the NFC, and the Panthers are a team on the decline. The Seahawks should win this one at home easily. Seahawks win. Final score: Seattle Seahawks 27, Carolina Panthers 21.
Indianapolis Colts @ New York Jets. Penalty flag. Excessively poorly performing teams on Monday Night football. These teams are both underperforming terribly this season. The Colts are slightly better and should win this one in New Jersey. Final score: Indianapolis Colts 23, "New York" Jets 21.
Chiefs @ Falcons: The Chiefs have struggled lately, and the Falcons have a dominant offense. My prediction: Falcons win, 31-17.
Lions @ Saints: I know that the Lions are considered the "comeback team" but I don't see that happening this week. My prediction: Saints win, 27-20.
Rams @ Patriots: The Patriots are dominant. My prediction: Patriots win, 30-16.
Broncos @ Jaguars: This game isn't going to be very fun to watch. My prediction: Broncos win, 20-16.
Texans @ Packers: The Texans are not a good team. My prediction: Packers win, 24-10.
Eagles @ Bengals: The Bengals can't win with Marvin Lewis. My prediction: Eagles win, 23-16.
Dolphins @ Ravens: The Dolphins have been extremely inconsistent this season. The Ravens are fighting to stay in the top spot in the AFC North. My prediction: Ravens win, 17-13.
49ers @ Bears: I really don't understand how the 49ers are favored. My prediction: Bears win, 23-10.
Bills @ Raiders: The Raiders should be favored by more points. My prediction: Raiders win, 33-20.
Giants @ Steelers: Upset special of the week. I will never unerstand why the Steelers are favorited so much. My prediction: Giants win, 23-20.
Redskins @ Cardinals: The Cardinals haven't beaten a good team yet this season, and its not going to change this week. My prediction: Redskins win, 27-17.
Buccanneers @ Chargers: The Chargers have a better offense & defense, plus they're at home. My prediction: Chargers win, 24-20.
Panthers @ Seahawks: My prediction: Seahawks win, 23-10.
Colts @ Jets: This is a bad prime-time game. My prediction: Colts win, 21-20.
