Week 16 in the NFL: Merry Christmas to all of our readers and followers and we wish you a blessed and wonderful Christmas. This week has a lot of important playoff scenarios especially on Christmas Day with the Ravens and Steelers. There are so many incredible games this week. Most games are on Saturday but I will separate them for everyone to see what days the games are on and time ranges to keep things clear. My picks are going to be shorter and just have my fantasy leaders of the game projections.
Dolphins @ Bills: I think this game comes down to how well does Rex keep his head up and ignore the off the field drama around his job title. I actually like the Bills in this one to all but dash Miami’s playoff hopes as the Dolphins will have to play the Patriots week 17. The Dolphins player to start is Jay Ajayi and their player to sit is Devante Parker. The Bills player to start is easily McCoy and I would stay away from Watkins entering this one. The good player most people are over looking to start in this game is Kenny Stills as he could sneak behind a beat up secondary. Bills win 26 – 23 over the Dolphins.
Jets @ Patriots: No head coach for the Jets just made this game even worse for the Jets. The Patriots are going to keep playing Patriot football and dominate this game. Player to start in this game for the Jets is nobody I would stay away from all Jets players in this one as it should be ugly for the Jets. The Patriots player to start in my eyes is Brady because he’s Tom Brady and he will bounce back from a rough week last week. I wouldn’t say there is anyone to sit in this game though for the Patriots but if I had to choose one I would say Martellus Bennett. I really like Mitchell in this game though I think his upside is huge this late in the year he has really blossomed. Patriots win 32 – 13 over the Jets.
Titans @ Jaguars: The Titans need to keep winning to have a shot and with that run game and Marcus Mariota I think that is a safe bet right now. The Jaguars have a new coach at the helm after Gus Bradley was fired. I love Doug Marrone and think he could do great things with the Jaguars if they don’t bring in Tom Coughlin in the offseason. Start em’: Titans: Demarco Murray. Sit Em’: Rishard Matthews. For the Jaguars. Start Em’: Allen Robinson. Sit Em’ Blake Bortles. Fantasy dark horse: Derrick Henry. Titans win 20 – 16 over the Jaguars.
Vikings @ Packers: The Vikings have completely collapsed and now AP is out once again and the Vikings offense will struggle to find its rhythm. The defense of the Vikings was a complete joke last week and they can expect it to remain the same this week. The Packers are rolling as of late and their defense is finally getting healthy minus Sam Shields and they seemingly can make the difference for the Packers entering the playoffs. Start em’ for the Vikings, if anyone should be Kyle Rudolph as the Packers have struggled against TE’s. Sit em’ in this one being Adam Thielen. The Start em’ for the Packers is Devante Adams as he will bounce back from a bad week. Sit em’ for the Packers is Randall Cobb as he has been terrible for a few weeks running. Sneaky good pick here is of course Ty Montgomery if the Vikings defense continues to struggle. Packers win 27 – 17 over the Vikings.
Chargers @ Browns: The Browns will continue their run for 0-16 I think it is that simple. Start em’ for the Browns is Corey Coleman as he could have a good game. The player to sit for the Browns is RGIII as I believe he will have a rough game. The Chargers start em’ is Rivers in this one for sure and I expect Tyrell Williams to have a good game again. The player to sit is Farrow for the Chargers. The player to sneakily throw in to your championship lineup honestly should be Travis Benjamin as I believe he will get back at his old team. Chargers win 29 – 16 over the Browns.
Redskins @ Bears: This game could be good because the Bears could play spoiler. The Skins are hanging on by a thread for their playoff hopes because with a loss they are most likely out of the playoffs. They are currently on the outside looking in and need for that to change so they must find ways to win now and hope for help. The Bears on the other hand are just trying to figure things out because they don’t know how to play offense consistently. I do not like what the Bears are doing but I do like Barkley right now and think he could actually be good for this team right now. I wouldn’t count out the Bears in this game honestly though. Redskins start em’, is Matt Jones has he should run well against the Bears bad run defense. Sit em’, is DeSean Jackson for the Redskins. The Bears player to start is Jordan Howard as the Skins struggle against the run defensively. The player I would be cautious of for the Bears is Cameron Meredith. The sneaky pick in this one has to be Jamison Crowder as he can pop out of nowhere for a big play. Bears win 20 – 16 over the Redskins.
Falcons @ Panthers: The Falcons are just a win away from clinching their division and I believe this defense could surprise people moving forward into the playoffs. The Panthers have turned this team around as of late but they can’t stand against this Falcons team as a serious contender. I do think this will be a close game and should be fun as neither defense will do much to slow down the opposing offense in this one. Falcons Start Em’, is Julio Jones as I believe he will have an explosive come back from a 2 week absence. The Sit Em’ will be the Falcons RB’s because the Panthers boast the number 3 run defense in the league. The Panthers start Em’, in fantasy this week is Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen. I think the player to sit for the Panthers is Jonathan Stewart in this game. The player you will want to consider is absolutely Taylor Gabriel or Aldric Robinson. Falcons win 28 – 24 over the Panthers.
Colts @ Raiders: This game could be interesting if the Colts play the way they did last week. Their defense looked good for the first time in 3 years. The Raiders need to keep winning to keep their edge on their division rival Chiefs as the Chiefs have the tie-breaker if they slip a game now they would fall to the wildcard spot. This game will be a lot more interesting than I would have given it credit for weeks ago. The start em’ for the Colts is TY Hilton as he should burn this Raiders defense. The sit em’ for the Colts is Frank Gore as I believe he will have a rough week. The Raiders start em’ for the Raiders are Crabtree and Cooper as they should have great bounce back weeks. The Raiders player to sit needs to be Lat Murray as he could struggle in this game as it should be a complete shootout. If you are in a tight spot and have the option I would consider starting Moncrief in this one. Raiders win a tight one 31 – 29 over the Colts.
Buccaneers @ Saints: This game is so important for the Buccaneers as they have to win to keep themselves alive in the playoff race. The Saints are pretty bad defensively and people are blaming Brees for his lack of success lately but he gets no help on defense and he is far to blame for that. Start em’ for the Buccaneers is absolutely Mike Evans because I mean why wouldn’t you start him. The player to sit for the Buccaneers has to be Cameron Brate because I think Winston will air it out to his receivers in this game. The player to start for the Saints would be Michael Thomas because I believe the Buccaneers 2nd and 3rd corners will struggle with his strength. Now the Saints player to be wary of is Mark Ingram in this game. The player I would start in a pinch and only if in a pinch for this one is Humphries because the Saints defense is so weak. Buccaneers win 23 – 20 over the Saints.
Cardinals @ Seahawks: The Seahawks can lock up the 2 seed I believe with the win this week, I believe. They are looking to dominate over the Cardinals and show their dominance because I do not believe the Cowboys are better than the Seahawks. I think the Cardinals player you have to start is David Johnson while the player to be wary of is Carson Palmer. The Seahawks player to start is Doug Baldwin and their player to sit is Thomas Rawls as the Cardinals can stop the run fairly well. The good player in a pinch for this game are a mix between two players JJ Nelson and Tyler Locket whichever you can. Seahawks win 27 – 23 over the Cardinals.
49ers @ Rams: Why can’t we separate these two teams from the same division. This game sucks and will be a low scoring battle between two horrible teams in the NFC West. Fantasy wise I would avoid starting everyone in this game but if you are desperate I would consider Todd Gurley because the Niners can’t stop the run. Rams win 13 – 10 over the 49ers.
SNF (8:30 PM/ET):
Bengals @ Texans: The Bengals collapsed last week and their defense has been struggling as of late. Their offense has been inconsistent and they are terrible in the primetime. Marvin Lewis will find a way to continue that in this one as they just never look the same when the spot light is on the Bengals. Texans on the other hand just got better because they have seriously improved at QB with a major upgrade to Tom Savage and as his last name would suggest this kid is a complete Savage. I am huge on Tom and have been since his college career and thought he was drafted late honestly. The Bengals player to start has to be Eifert as I believe he is a good player and would be a little tough for the Texans defense to handle. The player to sit for the Bengals has to be Jeremy Hill in this battle against a tough Texans defense. The player to start for the Texans has to be TOM SAVAGE BABY!!!! The player to sit if there is anyone is DeAndre Hopkins as he is just not the same this season as he was before. The player to watch in this game fantasy wise that could be a good pick for an injury replacement is Will Fuller. Texans win 34 – 26 over the Bengals.
Ravens @ Steelers: The Ravens are a good team but their defense has been struggling as of late and their offense better find a way to turn it around. The Steelers have been incredibly fun to watch and Le’Veon Bell has been amazingly fun to see this year. I think this game just comes down to one simple question. Can the Ravens stop the run game of the Steelers if they can’t they lose, but if they do they win. I wouldn’t start any Ravens player but the Ravens defense and Justin Tucker. The Steelers player to start is Bell and their player to bench needs to be Antonio Brown. Ravens win 20 – 18 over the Steelers.
Broncos @ Chiefs: The Chiefs won a really good game in Denver in OT with a great field goal to win the game. The Broncos can’t play offense and that seemingly keeps remaining the same and they refuse to make the change and keep the change. I wouldn’t start any Broncos players in this game except the Broncos defense. The Chiefs are full of talent but their offense struggles to find it considering I feel most of their points are from defense and special teams. They need to just find ways to get Tyreek Hill into the game more and they would be an incredible team offensively as well. I would get the Tyreek Hill into the game if I was a fantasy owner this week as well and of course I would get Travis Kelce in the grind as well in fantasy. Hill can do the damage running or KR/PR and receiving. Chiefs win 23 – 19 over the Broncos.
Monday Night Football:
Lions @ Cowboys: Here we go again. A 5TH STRAIGHT GAME IN PRIMETIME FOR THE COWBOYS AND IT IS ABSOULTE CRAP!!!! Change the record please because I did the recalculations last night of the Cowboys. The Cowboys will have played 8 PRIMETIME GAMES THIS SEASON OF THEIR 16 when the season is over. THAT IS RIDICULOUS!!!. I am not supposed to root for a team but in this game I am rooting for the Lions because I am tired of hearing the Cowboys and with their clinching of the first seed I think they will start to rest players if they get a lead. I think the Lions will pull off a comeback in this one too. Start the Cowboys in this one would be Zeke and the player to be wary of is Dez Bryant because Darius Slay will slay their defense. The Lions player to start is Golden Tate as I believe he will have a good game and the player to sit needs to be their RB crew. Lions win in another comeback 23 – 21 over the Cowboys.

Rams beat 49ers, 23-17.
Texans beat Bengals, 26-24.
Ravens beat Steelers, 24-21.
Chiefs beat Broncos, 20-13.
Cowboys beat Lions, 28-27.
Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers. The Packers and Vikings face off in Green Bay. This is a game with big playoff implications. However, the Packers are playing at home in winter, and the Vikings have struggled lately. I think Green Bay has the edge at home in this one; Packers win! Final score: Green Bay Packers 35, Minnesota Vikings 24.
Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars. The Tennessee Titans have a very good chance to head to the playoffs this season. They capitalize on their chances by beating the Jaguars in Jacksonville as the Jags start picking up the pieces with new head coach Doug Marrone. Final score: Tennessee Titans 21, Jacksonville Jaguars 20.
Washington Redskins @ Chicago Bears. The Bears may be who we think they are, but they're playing good football with Matt Barkley under center. They put together a solid game at home against the Redskins this week. Soldier Field in December offers a huge home field advantage, and the Bears take it. Final score: Chicago Bears 28, Washington professional football team 21.
Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers. The Panthers are still playing to win the game, but their defense has too many holes to stand up to the Falcons offense this week. I have to go with the Falcons offense in this one. Final score: Atlanta Falcons 24, Carolina Panthers 17.
New "York" (Jersey) Jets @ New England Patriots. Brady in December at home against a divisional rival? Patriots win. Final score: New England Patriots 35, New York Jets 14.
San Diego Chargers @ Cleveland Browns. On paper, this matchup shouldn't even be close. However, this is a Browns team looking desperately for a win, and the Browns have absolutely no luck. They beat the Chargers this week and make their case for the first overall pick a bit murkier. Final score: Cleveland Browns 24, San Diego Chargers 21.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins are on the road against the boy-I-love-losing-Superbowls Bills, but they've played some good football this year. The Bills are a bit of a mess with Rex Ryan, so I think the Dolphins take this one. Final score: Miami Dolphins 14, Buffalo Bills 12.
Indianapolis Colts @ Oakland Raiders. The Colts may have played well last week, but this week they square off against one of the best rosters in the AFC. Raiders take this one at home. Final score: Oakland Raiders 24, Indianapolis Colts 14.
San Francisco 49ers @ LA Rams. This is a game that the 49ers can win. However, the Rams could put together a strong defensive stand at home, and feast on the 49ers offense. I'm going to go with the Rams in this one. As for Colin Kaepernick, as Mike Singletary would say, The 49ers "cannot play with him, cannot coach with him, and cannot win with him. Can't do it!" This week, Kaepernick gets oppressed by Aaron Donald, and the Rams win at home. Final score: LA Rams 28, San Francisco 49ers 7.
Tampa Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints. This is going to be a great game, and may be the game of the week. That being said, the Saints have an explosive offense, and Drew Brees will be working hard to bring some Christmas cheer to the Saints. I'm going with the Saints against a great young Buccaneers team. Final score: New Orleans Saints 35, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27.
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks. This week, the Cardinals face the best team in the NFC. The Seahawks capitalize at home and continue their march to the playoffs as Seattle wins. Final score: Seattle Seahawks 24, Arizona Cardinals 18.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Houston Texans. Once again, Marvin Lewis has proven that he cannot prepare a team to hold a lead after halftime. The Texans, on the other hand, dominated last week after putting Nicholas Cage...I mean Tom Savage... under center. The Texans roll with Savage again this week, and win this game. Final score: Houston Texans 28, Cincinnati Bengals 14.
Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers. Big Ben and the Steelers at home with a chance to seal the division? The Ravens are a good team, especially on defense, but I have to go with Pittsburgh in this one. This is a matchup that Pittsburgh should shine in. Final score: Pittsburgh Steelers 28, Baltimore Ravens 24.
Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos need some help on their offensive line. The Chiefs defense should capitalize on those needs as they face the Broncos at home. I'm going with the Chiefs in this one. Final score: Kansas City Chiefs 27, Denver Broncos 10.
Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys. This week, Dak Prescott shows his inner Tony Romo and chokes in a big game against the Lions at home. Meanwhile, Jerry Jones calls on Romo to enter the game, but too late. The Lions win this one on the road. Final score: Detroit Lions 17, Dallas Cowboys 14.
