The Week 5 of the NFL season is kicking off and it has some interesting scenarios. There are still 6 undefeated teams thus far. Those teams are the Broncos, Packers, Bengals, Patriots, Falcons, and Panthers. The Panthers technically have the best chance to remain undefeated the longest as they are the only team left undefeated that has a bye week this week. The other bye week teams are the Jets, Vikings, and Dolphins. Now on the other side of the standings there now only remains one winless team, that being the 0-4 Detroit Lions after a tough loss against the Seahawks on Monday night football. Last week we saw the confirmed emergence of Todd Gurley and Devonta Freeman bringing some excitement in the league with some good young running backs. Here are the predictions for a good week 5.
Bears (1-3) @ Chiefs (1-3): So the Bears finally won and the Chiefs look like they are intentionally losing. They decided to use Jamaal Charles less than any team with his talent should be. The Chiefs need to wake up and I believe they will take this game at home as their opportunity to do so. Chiefs win 27 – 17 over the Bears.
Seahawks (2-2) @ Bengals (4-0): I have no idea what to say for this game other than this is the game of the week. I truly feel like flipping a coin here two gritty defenses. Cincy has had the better offense this year though and that might make the difference. The Seahawks offense is tied for last in offensive scoring so I am going to have to pick the home team that is scoring in bunches here. I might regret this but I just think they have the edge. Bengals win 20 – 19 over the Seahawks.
Redskins (2-2) @ Falcons (4-0) :I will make this simple as it gets FALCONS ARE HOT and AT HOME. Falcons win 38 – 14 over the Redskins.
Jaguars (1-3) @ Buccaneers (1-3): Two teams trying to avoid being there for the first pick overall at the end of the season. Both teams have two coaches whose jobs are on the line this season and it isn’t looking good. Jaguars look like their talent is MIA and the Bucs are hit or miss during each game. So I am going to just give the edge to the home team due to how close these two are. Buccaneers win 28 – 21 over the Jaguars.
Saints (1-3) @ Eagles (1-3): Two teams with talent going nowhere fast. Fortunately for the Eagles their 1 game back sadly for the Saints their division rival Falcons are about to go 5-0. The Eagles are at home and just lost an embarrassing game to the Skins. I think that Chip Kelly’s project is failing and he will do whatever he can to get this team back in the win column. Eagles win 30 – 26 over the Saints.
Browns (1-3) @ Ravens (1-3): Browns in a loss impressed me last week. The Ravens in a win didn’t impress me at all. They are coming off a week where they lost Steve Smith Sr. and Companaro and had to trade for Chris Givens to add a receiver to get depth. I really have no idea which team is going to show up for either side since they both seem to play well at times and terrible at others. I can only make one guarantee, Joe Flacco has another turnover. I got no clue I am just going to take a shot in the dark blind. Browns pull off upset and win 24 – 20 over the Ravens.
Rams (2-2) @ Packers (4-0): Ok so Todd Gurley looked legit last week. The Packers are at home though and that is just too much for any team this year in the NFL honestly let alone average Nick Foles. Packers win 32 – 20 over the Rams.
Bills (2-2) @ Titans (1-2): This matchup is intriguing to me. The Titans just had a bye week to get healthy and get ready for their adjustments. The Bills on the other hand just a lost a game they shouldn’t have and Rex Ryan might not let them get away with that one. This will really come down to who adjusted more this past week and is more prepared. The only thing holding me back from automatically picking the Bills is Sammy Watkins not being healthy yet. I will go by in Tyrod we trust and take the Bills though to bounce back from a tough loss well here. Bills win 23 – 12 over the Titans.
Cardinals (3-1) @ Lions (0-4): The Cardinals are going to avenge their loss last week it’s that simple.
While the Lions will continue to struggle against top defenses. They need to trust Zach Zenner he is a spark plug and could ignite that ground game along with Abdullah. But they are lacking that intelligence right now so don’t expect things to change if you don’t change them. Cardinals’ win 27 – 17 over the Lions.
Patriots (3-0) @ Cowboys (2-2): The Pats are coming off a bye week and are just so hard to bet against no matter who they play. The Cowboys are really not looking good without their leader, Tony Romo, under the center. This is bad news for Cowboys fans because I think they are about to drop a third straight game here. Patriots win 30 – 17 over the Cowboys.
Broncos (4-0) @ Raiders (2-2): This game should be simple as the Broncos Defense will control this game and give the Broncos another win here. Broncos win 24 – 10 over the Raiders.
49ers (1-3) @ Giants (2-2): No Comment other than the 49ers are atrocious and need to give Gabbert the ball finally, until then I will stay the course. Giants win 40 – 10 over the 49ers.
Steelers (2-2) @ Chargers (2-2): These guys on Monday night football are arguably the two most powerful offenses that aren’t above .500 in the NFL. The Steelers are on the road here without Big Ben but they do get Bryant back this week at WR. I really have a hard time understanding what is wrong with this Chargers team but I am going to go with the home team with the QB with way more talent here. Chargers win 29 – 25 over the Steelers.

Redskins @ Falcons - Falcons dominate, 35-10.
Seahawks @ Bengals - The Bengals are doing great, and they will continue this week against the struggling Seahawks. Bengals win, 20-17.
Rams @ Packers - Packers win, 27-17.
Bills @ Titans - This is a tough game to call. Bills win on the road, 24-20.
Bears @ Chiefs - Chiefs win by a lot, 27-6.
Saints @ Eagles - Eagles win, 20-17.
Jaguars @ Buccaneers - The Buccaneers are the better of these two bad teams. Bucs win, 24-16.
Browns @ Ravens - Ravens win at home, 27-20.
Cardinals @ Lions - Cardinals win, 35-13.
Patriots @ Cowboys - Patriots win, 28-13.
Broncos @ Raiders - Broncos win, 24-13.
49ers @ Giants - Giants win, 20-6.
Steelers @ Chargers - Steelers win on the road, 27-24.

Seattle Seahawks @ Cincinnati Bengals. This is one of those games that the Bengals historically lose. Big name opponent, big stage (even though they're not in prime time), Marvin Lewis talking about how they've prepared for this game since February (i.e. overthinking their opponent). That being said, the Seahawks are playing in Cincinnati, and missing their most important offensive player, Marshawn Lynch. I expect Cincinnati to barely hang on and win this week at home. Final score: Bengals 21, Seahawks 20.
Washington Redskins @ Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are a very good football team. The Washington Redskins are not. Atlanta is finally firing on all cylinders, and I expect them to dominate against Washington. Final score: Falcons 35, Redskins 14.
Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens. If this game was in Cleveland, I'd give this game to the Browns. One of these teams has no starting wide receivers and mediocre running backs. The other team has no starting wide receivers, mediocre running backs, and is starting the wrong quarterback. If the Browns were to start Johnny Manziel this week, they would win this game. They will still be very close. In fact, this game could be a 0-0 tie and I wouldn't be surprised....but I have to pick one team to win. I'm going to go with Baltimore.....barely Final score: Baltimore 24, Cleveland 23.
St. Louis Rams @ Green Bay Packers. The Rams and Packers are both very good football teams. Green Bay has been dominant for years. The Rams are just starting to develop. This is the NFL, and something crazy happens every week it seems like. This week, the crazy happens in Green Bay. The Rams beat the Packers at home. Final score: Rams 35, Packers 28.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I still believe in the Jaguars, even though they will take a few more seasons until they emerge as a playoff team. That being said, they have more pieces in place than the Bucs do, and that will show this week. Final score: Jaguars 24, Buccaneers 18.
Chicago Bears @ Kansas City Chiefs. The Bears are actually a better team with Jay Cutler. The Chiefs are a decent but not great team. I could picture this game going either way, because both offenses are fairly mediocre. That being said, the Bears have no defense. That gives KC the edge. Chiefs win. Final score: Chiefs 14, Bears 7.
New Orleans Saints @ Philadelphia Eagles. I still don't believe in the Eagles. That being said, I don't believe in the Saints either. Both of these teams have some major holes, but the Eagles have fewer holes. That helps them win at home. Final score: Eagles 38, Saints 30.
Buffalo Bills @ Tennessee Titans. This could be one of the most exciting games this week. Two exciting young teams battling it out. Both of these teams have holes at running back with LeSean McCoy injured for Buffalo, and that will keep this contest close. I think the Bills still barely squeeze one out. Final score: Bills 28, Titans 27.
Arizona Cardinals @ Detroit Lions. The Cardinals are one of the best teams in the NFC. Period. They play the team with the worst record in the conference this week, traveling to Detroit to face the Lions. Lions win in a huge upset. Final score: Lions 24, Cardinals 23.
New England Patriots @ Dallas Cowboys. The Patriots are historically dominant following a bye. The Cowboys have more injuries than a hospital. That spells defeat for the Cowboys. Final score: Patriots 35, Cowboys 14.
Denver Broncos @ Oakland Raiders. I want to give this game to Oakland as an upset, but I can't. Denver is the better team, and I think they play hard against a divisional rival. Denver should win this game. Final score: Broncos 28, Raiders 24.
San Francisco 49ers @ New York Giants. The 49ers are one of the worst teams in the NFL. The Giants are merely average. Merely average is good enough to beat terrible any day of the week. I'm going with the Giants in this one. Final score: Giants 38, 49ers 14.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are finally hitting at full stride, and Antonio Gates' return from suspension should provide enough of a spark for this offense to produce against the Steelers. Chargers win. Final score: Chargers 28, Steelers 21.

Redskins @ Falcons - Falcons, 28-13.
Seahawks @ Bengals - Bengals, 27-24.
Rams @ Packers - Packers, 31-21.
Bills @ Titans - Titans, 21-17.
Bears @ Chiefs - Chiefs, 20-16.
Saints @ Eagles - Eagles, 23-17.
Jaguars @ Buccaneers - Jags, 27-16.
Browns @ Ravens - Ravens, 35-14.
Cardinals @ Lions - Cardinals, 25-13.
Patriots @ Cowboys - Patriots, 24-21.
Broncos @ Raiders - Broncos, 31-24.
49ers @ Giants - Giants, 24-10.
Steelers @ Chargers - Steelers, 30-21.

Atlanta 35 Washington 13. In a lopsided match Atlanta never lets off the gas. Freeman comes back down to earth, but Matty Ice lights up the skies as Washington cannot stop Julio. Hankerson has his way with his former team and has 8 receptions for 75 yards and a td. I believe Matt Jones continues to out touch Morris, yet it's Thompson again who vultures Washingtons lone TD.
Cincinnati 14 Seattle 10. In a defensive battle, full of big hits and interceptions, I believe Cincinnati pulls off the victory. While Seattle is able to contain Green, Bernard is able to find room catching out of the backfield all day. I believe Dalton and Wilson combine to throw for 3 tds and 4 picks as both defenses stepped up their game. Rawls shows potential again filling in for Lynch, as he amasses 80 yards on the ground.
Green Bay 28 St Louis 17. I believe that Rodgers throws his first interception at home in how long this weekend, and it goes for pick 6. He makes up for it by throwing for 3 tds, 2 of which go to cobb. Lacy finally gets going and is able to eclipse 100 yards and 1 td. Gurley shows why he was so highly scouted again this game, as he carves Green Bay for 170 yards and a td, however Nick Foles struggles and cannot keep up with Rodgers.
Buffalo 21 Tennessee 17. What can't Matiota do? I believe he shows off his legs against the bills stout defense this week. 3 total tds for Mariota, 2 in the air and his third on the ground. Unfortunately for him though, Buffalo has just enough defense to not completely break as Tyrod is able to lead them to the victory in the final minute of the game.
Kansas City 28 Chicago 20. I believe Alex Smith is the X factor in this game. He will either throw for 275 yards and 4 tds (2 to Maclin, 1 to Kelce, and 1 to Charles) or 4 interceptions. I believe he will take his shots down the field and I don't think Chicago can stop him. Cutler has a good game again, and by having Jeffery back, he is able to throw for 2 tds, one of which goes to Jeffery. Forte runs for one as well, however a missed field goal causes momentum to shift in the 3rd quarter and KC capitalizes and takes the game.
Philadelphia 38 New Orleans 28. In a high scoring matchup, I believe the Eagles players rally around their coach and come out firing. They showed promise last week and Bradford looked his best all season. I believe he will have a career game, and in turn I also believe this will be Agholors breakout game. Murray will get around 20 touches and finally have a 100 yard game. Brees on the other side will have some issues with the Eagles defense, throwing for 180 yards, 2 tds and 2 picks. Ingram will carry the game and keep them close.
Jacksonville 21 Tampa Bay 14. In a Florida battle, I see Winston having a fit against a good pass rush. He will be flushed from the pocket a lot and sacked 5 times. Bortles is able to find Hurns for 2 touchdowns and Yeldon is able to run for 120 yard and a td as well.
Baltimore 17 Cleveland 10. Cleveland has one of the better secondary's in the league in my opinion, and they are able to ground Flacco and the Ravens, holding Flacco to under 100 yards passing. However, Forsett is able to run around for 180 yards and 2 tds. The Browns said tey wanted to get Johnson more involved, and this week they do. While only have 6 rushes, Johnson also hauls in 9 receptions for 95 yards and a td.
Arizona 30 Detroit 21. The woes for Detroit continue against a red hot Arizona team. Calvin is slowing down and Tate is not stepping up, and it shows again against the Cardinals. Ellington comes back into the lineup and forces a three headed monster at running back, however it's Johnson who still gets the most carries and yards. Abdullah is the lone star for the Lions, as he is able to find holes where there aren't any and rushes for 100 yards and 2 tds.
New England 49 Dallas 20. Tom Brady is playing angry after Hardys comments. And when Brady plays angry, he goes off. If you are a fantasy player, I strongly suggest playing Edelman, Gronk, and Lewis. Dallas has enough injuries to make them weak, and the Patriots go rebel on them and have the highest scoring first half the NFL has seen this year. Dallas continues to try to run the ball with Romo and Bryant still out, but it's not effective against a superior defense.
Oakland 24 Denver 17. In week 5s upset, Oakland takes down Denver. The Raiders black hole comes out and swallows up Manning and his receivers. Manning will be sacked 3 times and throw 2 interceptions this week. He will also throw for 2 tds, both going to Owens. On the other side, Oakland lives off of the run and lets Lat Murray run wild. I believe Murray is able to run for 230 yards and 3 tds this week as he gets offensive player of the week. Call it a hunch, but Oakland seems to have Denvers number each time, and I don't think it changes.
New York Giants 20 San Fransisco 14. San Fran comes out running the ball down New York's throat to start the game. Hyde scores two touchdowns in the first half as they get out to an early league. Beckham Jr gets contained again, just as he was last weekend, as he is limited to 3 catches this week for 20 yards. This opens up the game for Randle again to be the star, and Eli has his magic back and leads the Giants to another come from behind victory as time runs out.
San Diego 27 Pittsburgh 24. With the emergence of Gordon looking like a top RB, the Bolts will ride him to the promise land. He manages the game and keeps drives alive against a porous Stealers defense. Along with having Gates back as well, the game opens up wide for Keenan Allen to again have a career game. LeVeon Bell has 100 yards and 2 tds, however with the passing game unable to get going, Pittsburgh suffers. Vick is able to drive and get a game tying field goal with 25 seconds left in the game on a nice throw to Brown (10 receptions 105 yards 1 td). However in overtime, the Chargers defense stops Bell on 4th down at the Chargers 40 yard line, and Rivers moves them to field goal range and the Bolts win on a 37 yard field goal in overtime.
