Week 6 Predictions: Week 6 in the NFL is here and the Lions are still the only team left without a win. The Falcons, Packers, Panthers, Bengals, Broncos, and Patriots all still remain undefeated. Last week we saw three games go to OT and 2 of those games had undefeated teams involved in them. Now this week we will see 4 more teams go on bye and those four teams are the Cowboys, Raiders, Rams, and Buccaneers. Good luck to all your respective teams this week here is how we see the games breaking down.
Redskins (2-3) @ Jets (3-1): The Redskins are a team looking decent but have struggled at times. They just played a decent game in Atlanta and are now headed to New York to face a good team that has really stepped up. The Jets are impressive from what we all expected especially and let me tell you Todd Bowles is a genius. This team could be a legit wild card contender or even a division contender if the Patriots slip. I think the team that wins this game is just going to be the better team. Jets win 23 – 20 over the Redskins.
Cardinals (4-1) @ Steelers (3-2): This game is a battle between the Super Bowl XLIII teams and this game will be a good one. The Cardinals are absolutely terrifying their defense picked off the Lions 4 times in Detroit. They forced Caldwell to sit Stafford due to absolutely dominating him and forced him to put in Orlovsky. The Cardinals don’t just have a defense though their offense is incredible and Chris Johnson seems to have found a second life out of nowhere. Now the Steelers just came off an impressive Monday night win over the Chargers in San Diego. They beat the talented Chargers with a back-up QB, Mike Vick and to do it on the road showed what this team is capable of. Cardinals win 28 – 23 over the Steelers.
Chiefs (1-4) @ Vikings (2-2): This game could be ugly. The Chiefs are absolutely lost so it seems and now they don’t have Jamaal Charles, things don’t seem to be getting easier for Chiefs fans. I truly expected these guys to have a good season this year and be competitive but they seem to just be laid out flat and ready for the kill now. The Chiefs QB Alex Smith still hasn’t impressed me even after they reunited Jeremy Maclin and Andy Reid. Now facing the Chiefs is a really good Vikings team with a stellar defense and a good Teddy Bridgewater. The only issue the Vikings have is the lack of a consistent running game. I don’t see this to be an issue and I truly believe they will eat up the Chiefs lack of an offense and win this game due to a stellar defense and the ability to control the pace of the game. Vikings win 27 – 13 over the Chiefs.
Bengals (5-0) @ Bills (3-2): Here is an interesting game. The Bengals are awesome and 5-0 proves it. The Bills are actually better than their record shows but this week they could be without Tyrod Taylor. The Bengals are a good team with a gritty defense and their offense seems to be firing on all cylinders. Andy Dalton is silencing all of his haters and doubters this season including myself, who was really doubting him following last year’s postseason performance. The Bills are a gritty team as well with the same mentality as the Bengals except their QB is a little more mobile. Now Tyrod might not be able to suit up this weekend due to a MCL injury and its expected EJ will get his chance to prove himself. The Bills need Sammy Watkins to suit up and help out his buddy EJ Manuel get a great opportunity to dominate this game. I really have no idea who to pick in this game just because the Bills are at home but it is so hard to pick against the Bengals. I am going to take the underdog here with an upset handing the Bengals their first loss. Bills win 31 – 28 over the Bengals.
Bears (2-3) @ Lions (0-5): The two jokes of the NFC North meet in Detroit this weekend. The Lions were just embarrassed at home last weekend and still remain without a win. The Bears have got Cutler back and they just got a good win in Kansas City. The Bears are still a bad team and both teams seem to have no idea how to play football right now. I want the Lions to trust Zach Zenner more because Mike and I have been calling for it since the beginning of the season. I really have no idea who will win this game but I am going to pick Detroit to win their first game of the season this weekend. Lions win 21 – 19 over the Bears.
Broncos (5-0) @ Browns (2-3): The Browns are at home against the undefeated Broncos and it will be an interesting matchup. The Browns defense needs to step up and keep the game low scoring if they do that they could sneak out a win here and pull off a major upset. Broncos have a deadly defense, with no offense at all. Peyton is playing like crap and their ground game is probably the worst in the NFL and it might sound dumb but I think Montee Ball would be out preforming both Hillman and Anderson if they would have gave him a shot. But that doesn’t matter now all that really matters is this offense finding a way to score consistently if that happens then they might be able to finally be considered Super Bowl good. Broncos win 20 – 13 over the Browns.
Texans (1-4) @ Jaguars (1-4): Um I want to say who really cares, this game is going to be ugly and I truly think both teams are in a lot of trouble. Houston just lost to old man Hasselback and at home to boot. The Texans have no offense due to not addressing their QB issues in the offseason while their defense is confusingly bad this year. The Jags on the other hand can’t run the ball due to a terrible O-line and their QB is suffering as well due to that. The Jags did have an offensive onslaught last week but they still lost regardless especially due to a terrible defense to boot. This game is really not easy to call it might be that much harder because of the lack-luster teams. Jaguars win 28 – 24 over the Texans.
Dolphins (1-3) @ Titans (1-3): This is an interesting game on a few levels. The Dolphins are off a bye week after coming back to the US from a London game where they lost an ugly one. The Dolphins do have the 11th ranked defense according to ESPN.com. They don’t look top 15 though when you watch them and I think that could show this week. Now the most interesting part about the game this weekend for the Dolphins is they fired Joe Philbin and Dan Campbell is now taking over. He was the tight end coach for the Dolphins and definitely seems to be the temporary replacement for Philbin. Now the Dolphins have talent and I am really intrigued to see if Dan can finally show off some of that talent and get these guys back on the right track. Now against them are a team that are just playing some tough gritty football. The Titans are improving and Mariota is seeming to mature and become better with each weeks experience. I like the Titans defense as they play gritty and fast, they seem to be finally on the right track. Titans win 23 – 17 over the Dolphins.
Panthers (4-0) @ Seahawks (2-3): Carolina will get a real test this week to stay unbeaten. They have to go on the road and play in a gritty grind out defensive game. This is truly just whose defense is better than whose and what team can capitalize. I know the Panthers are undefeated but they are far from a guarantee here this weekend. The Seahawks are at home and they are a good team, honestly better than the Panthers. Seahawks win 17 – 13 over the Panthers.
Chargers (2-3) @ Packers (5-0): Man San Diego what is going on! Rivers is leading the league in passing yards yet here you are with a losing record and look really bad. The Chargers are offensively very talented but they just can’t seem to stop anyone, I am almost convinced Kaepernick could have a good game against them. Now they have to travel on the road after losing at home to Mike Vick and go to Lambeau field and take on the undefeated Packers. The Packers are so good it’s unreal. Their defense is a top ten defense right now which was the one reason true worry for the Packers. The Packers offense is probably the second best in the NFL behind the Patriots and just seem to be impossible to cool down. This game shouldn’t be too hard to predict here honestly especially in Lambeau. Packers win 38 – 27 over the Chargers.
Ravens (1-4) @ 49ers (1-4): Prove me wrong Kaepernick is all I am asking for. I mean we know the 49ers defense is going to play well, like they always seem to at home. The Ravens could bounce back here and pick up a win right here to get to 2-4. I just think Kaepernick is just so terrible. Ravens win 29 – 13 over the 49ers.
Patriots (4-0) @ Colts (3-2): Here is a game that seems to happen every single year. The Patriots are just way more superior especially against the Colts defense. I don’t see this game going too well for the Colts even if they have Andrew Luck back this week. I believe Gronk and Edelman both get a touchdown. Patriots win 42 – 23 over the Colts.
Giants (3-2) @ Eagles (2-3): This game is so tough to call. I am really going to have fun watching this one on Monday Night. The Eagles just blew up at home against the Saints and proved to everyone how good they could be if they put it together. The Giants struggled against a terrible 49ers team in New York and that worries me greatly coming into this game. I think Odell has a big game on prime time though and puts up 138 yards and 2 TD’s though I don’t believe it will be enough. Eagles win 37 – 32 over the Giants.

My picks for Week 6
I had the Saints with the upset but was not able to get my picks up in time, so here are Sundays NFL Picks
Bengals over the Bills 28-14....The Bengals are just on fire right now and the Bill will not change this fact.
Lions over Bears 21-9....Stafford finally gets on track and the running game with Abdullah finds some common ground.
Browns over Broncos 28-24....Yes, this is my upset special of the week....Broncos running game finally starts to cause issues and the Browns Defense comes through for the win
Titans over Dolphins 31-14....Dolphins are not getting any better, but the Titans are on both Offense & Defense
Chiefs over Vikings 14-12....KC breaks through and will take this game with a little running and some good Defense
Jets over Redskins 28-10....Jets are playing decent football right now and the Skins look bad....No nice way to say that.
Cardinals over Steelers 35-14....Palmer to Fitzgerald is becoming common and the Defense in Arizona is just to much for the Steelers even with Bell running well
Jaguars over Houston 28-21....Jags are young and growing....Houston continues to struggle, but I'm an optimistic Jags fan
Panthers over Seahawks....Cam & crew stays undefeated, while the Seahawks continue to try and find a way to get Jimmy Graham into the Offense and the Defense continues to get burned
Packers over Chargers 35-21....It's the Packers people....Chargers are playing statistically good ball, but the winning just isn't there
Ravens over 49ers 17-12....Not a great matchup for winning, but lets see who can lose this one
Patriots over Colts 45-24....Brady & gang continue their revenge tour on the NFL
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Giants over Eagles 21-10....Giants will get on track and the Eagles continue the "Fire Chip Kelly Tour"

Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills. I worry about this matchup for Cincinnati. Historically they tend to struggle a bit more than they should against backup quarterbacks. Cincinnati has been hot recently, but they are in Buffalo against a strong Bills defense. That being said, the comeback victory against Seattle may stick with Cincinnati and give them increased confidence heading into this game. It's going to be a close game, and it could go either way, but I'm going with the Bengals. Final score: Bengals 24, Bills 21.
Denver Broncos @ Cleveland Browns. The Broncos are one of the better teams in the AFC. The Browns are still struggling a bit to find an identity, but they are improving. Peyton Manning is a shadow of his former self, but the Denver defense will dominate against a weak Cleveland offense. Denver wins, 28-21.
Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions. The Bears are an improved team with Jay Cutler back under center. That being said, Detroit has yet to win a game and is looking desperate. They would love nothing more than to beat a divisional rival in Detroit. I'm picking the Lions in this one, in a close game. Final score: Lions 27, Bears 24.
Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars. This is going to be one of the best games of the week. Seriously. Mark it down. Both of these teams have good young talent but also have major holes. The Jaguars are slightly more complete though, and I expect them to win at home. Final score: Jaguars 17, Texans 10.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Minnesota Vikings. With Jamaal Charles injured, the Chiefs are extremely weak on offense. With Jamaal Charles injured, Mike Zimmer's defense will feast. I expect the Vikings to dominate the Chiefs at home in a statement win. Final score: Vikings 28, Chiefs 14.
Washington Redskins @ New York Jets. The Jets are clearly the better team in this matchup, even though the Redskins are improving. At home, the Jets win this game. Final score Jets 14, Redskins 10.
Arizona Cardinals @ Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cardinals are the better team in this matchup, even with the Steelers finding their groove with Mike Vick. Arizona comes away with a win and continues to look like a playoff contender. Final score: Cardinals 28, Steelers 27.
Miami Dolphins @ Tennessee Titans. The Titans are young and seemingly full of promise and potential. The Dolphins had tons of potential but fired their coach after finding themselves in a downward spiral of disarray. Titans win this one. Final score: Titans 35, Dolphins 14.
Carolina Panthers @ Seattle Seahawks. The Panthers are looking outstanding this year. That being said, the Seahawks are coming off of a tough loss against Cincinnati and will be angry and at home. Seahawks win this one, 38-14.
San Diego Chargers @ Green Bay Packers. I made the unfortunate mistake of picking against Green Bay at home last week. Not happening again this week. Final score: Packers 28, Chargers 24.
Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers. Who would have thought that both of these teams were in the Superbowl just a few short years ago? These teams are both on a decline, but the 49ers are worse. Ravens win. Final score: Ravens 21, 49ers 20.
New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts. This is a great rivalry, but Andrew Luck is dinged up and Tom Brady is healthy. New England is firing on all cylinders right now, and will dominate in this game. Patriots 28, Colts 10.
New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles. This might be one of the best games this week. The Giants and Eagles always wind up putting on an entertaining matchup. That being said, the Giants are struggling with injuries right now, especially at WR, and the Eagles are at home. Eagles win this one. Final score: Eagles 26, Giants 17.
