Week 8 2018 NFL Season: This week we will see the Falcons, Chargers, Cowboys, and Titans on bye week. The Rams are putting their unbeaten record on the line this week against the Packers. There will be a London game between the Jaguars and Eagles.
9:30 AM/ET: Eagles (3-4) @ Jaguars (3-4) in London on NFL Network:
The Eagles blew a 17-point lead last week to the Panthers. I am honestly not convinced that the Eagles really are as good as I previously thought. They should have walked away with the win last week easily after the start they had. The Jaguars are coming in limping and look absolutely horrible. They stuck with Bortles entering this season which has proven to be a mistake. This system needs a better QB with the subpar WR’s they have especially. This game is a battle between both teams who really need this win. 4 Jags were arrested the night before the game. So my pick changes at 10:26 PM on 10/27 Eagles 27 - Jaguars 17 . – Matt K
Jaguars 24 – Eagles 21 – Mike
Eagles 23 – Jaguars 14 – Scott
Eagles 27 – Jaguars 19 – Javier
Eagles 17 – Jaguars 9 – Josh
Eagles 20 – Jaguars 13 – Eric
Jaguars win, 23-20. - Tyler B.
Ravens (4-3) @ Panthers (4-2): The Ravens lost last week a heart breaker against the Saints. The Ravens are a great team who were just barely out played last week and Tucker missing his first ever PAT after 222 attempts costing them a shot at it in OT. The Panthers stormed back last week against the Eagles and won after being down 17. This Panthers team might not have a great defense, but their offense is extremely dangerous. This game should be good, but I believe the Ravens pass rush and pass stopping offense will stop Cam and their offense. Ravens 20 – Panthers 13. – Matt
Panthers 23 – Ravens 20 – Mike
Panthers 23 – Ravens 17 – Scott
Panthers 18 – Ravens 16 – Javier
Ravens 23 – Panthers 21 – Josh
Panthers 27 – Ravens 20 – Eric
Ravens win, 26-17. - Tyler B.
Jets (3-4) @ Bears (3-3): The Jets are coming in off a tough week against the Vikings and now face the Bears on the road. It is supposed to be a cold, rainy, windy day in Chicago. This game could become a battle of the defenses. Trubisky isn’t good at these clutch moments the Bears have been needing him in late in games. This game could come down to that exact situation if they don’t pull away early. I think the Bears pass rush will change this game early and make it too much for the Jets to overcome. Bears 28 – Jets 20 – Matt K
Bears 24 – Jets 23 – Mike
Bears 30 – Jets 20 – Scott
Bears 27 – Jets 16 – Javier
Bears 27 – Jets 14 – Josh
Bears 30 – Jets 23 – Eric
Bears win, 30-17. - Tyler B.
Buccaneers (3-3) @ Bengals (4-3): The Buccaneers have the top ranked offense in the NFL and they are facing the 31st ranked defense in the league this week. The Bengals offense isn’t really doing much, and their defense is absolutely horrible. This game could honestly be the game that breaks the Bengals season because they need to win these toss up games. I love this Winston vs Dalton match up, Green vs Evans, D-Jax vs Tyler Boyd. This should be a fun game. Bengals 34 – Buccaneers 32. – Matt K
Bengals 28 – Buccaneers 24 – Mike
Bengals 29 – Buccaneers 27 – Scott
Bengals 26 – Buccaneers 23 – Javier
Bengals 31 – Buccaneers 21 – Josh
Bengals 35 – Buccaneers 7 – Eric
Bengals win, 27-24. - Tyler B.
Seahawks (3-3) @ Lions (3-3): The Seahawks are at the part of the season where under Pete Carroll they normally start to explode offensively and start dominating teams. I expect to see Russell Wilson start doing what he does best and putting up really good numbers. The Lions will need Kerryon Johnson to continue being the focal point of their offense to open up the passing game for Stafford. This game will be a close game from start to finish. Seahawks 23 – Lions 20. – Matt K
Seahawks 24 – Lions 14 – Mike
Lions 22 – Seahawks 21 – Scott
Lions 21 – Seahawks 19 – Javier
Lions 21 – Seahawks 17 – Josh
Lions 37 – Seahawks 27 – Eric
Seahawks win, 23-21. - Tyler B.
Broncos (3-4) @ Chiefs (6-1): The Broncos are simply put out matched in almost all elements of this game. The only thing Denver has over the Chiefs is a pass defense because the Chiefs pass defense is obsolete. I am excited for this game because we once again get to see Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and of course Patrick Mahomes, there isn’t a more exciting crew to see on offense. Chiefs win this game simply because their offense is far superior to the Broncos offense. Chiefs 37 – Broncos 26. – Matt K
Chiefs 28 – Broncos 23 – Mike
Chiefs 33 – Broncos 20 – Scott
Chiefs 35 – Broncos 26 – Javier
Chiefs 34 – Broncos 27 – Josh
Chiefs 42 – Broncos 14 – Eric
Chiefs win, 35-10. - Tyler B.
Redskins (4-2) @ Giants (1-6): This is obviously not going to be a good game for the Giants. The Redskins are a fairly inconsistent team, but they are far superior to the Giants. The Giants are cleaning house while the Redskins are getting close to a playoff run caliber roster. The Giants have to face that Kyle Lauletta should be their starter at this point and that Odell is a diva that you can’t really build a franchise around. They are lucky to have Saquon though as that kid is a super star and is humbler than any player I have seen with his level of fame in NYC. Love that kid, glad I did more research on him. Alex Smith though will shine this weekend and get the job done for the Redskins. Redskins 18 – Giants 13. – Matt K
Redskins 35 – Giants 27 – Mike
Giants 20 – Redskins 17 – Scott
Redskins 21 – Giants 9 – Javier
Redskins 24 – Giants 17 – Josh
Redskins 24 – Giants 16 – Eric
Redskins win, 24-13. - Tyler B.
Browns (2-4-1) @ Steelers (3-2-1): The Browns continue to act like Baker is putting them in winning situations. They are ignoring their defense and run game’s positive affects and giving Baker better field position. I think that Baker has the talent to be special and shows moments of that already blossoming, but he should still be learning from Tyrod. The Steelers are coming off a bye week without Le’Veon and I believe they are perfectly okay without him. James Conner is poised to have a big game this weekend. TJ Watt is going to feast on the Browns offense and the Steelers pass rush will be a difference maker in this game. Steelers at home are a no doubt choice in this one. Steelers 31 – Browns 20. – Matt K
Steelers 21 – Browns 20 – Mike
Steelers 31 – Browns 27 – Scott
Steelers 27 – Browns 24 – Javier
Steelers 27 – Browns 20 – Josh
Steelers 24 – Browns 10 – Eric
Steelers win, 27-13. - Tyler B.
4 :05/25 PM/ET:
Colts (2-5) @ Raiders (1-5): This game is going to be boring and have no real importance to the season. The Colts looked decent last week, and I loved what we saw in their offense. The Raiders are obviously cleaning house. They have already shipped Amari Cooper for a 1st round pick and now they are looking to move Gareon Conley and Karl Joseph. They could also be moving Derek Carr which I actually believe could be a great idea if they move him for a 1st or 2nd round pick. This game should be all Colts when it comes down to it. Colts 27 – Raiders 10 – Matt K
Colts 21 – Raiders 20 – Mike
Colts 30 – Raiders 22 – Scott
Colts 31 – Raiders 10 – Javier
Colts 21 – Raiders 10 – Josh
Colts 17 – Raiders 10 – Eric
Raiders win, 30-24. - Tyler B.
49ers (1-6) @ Cardinals (1-6): The 49ers do battle even with a banged-up roster and no Jimmy G they keep battling week in and week out. The Cardinals on the other hand are just in a growing phase with a rookie QB and a rookie HC. They have replaced their OC this week and Byron Leftwich is now their OC. It will be interesting to see as I have my doubts, but he has the knowledge of the game to make him successful, so we will see. 49ers 26 – Cardinals 24 – Matt K
Cardinals 27 – 49ers 24 – Mike
49ers 24 – Cardinals 19 – Scott
49ers 26 – Cardinals 17 – Javier
Cardinals 17 – 49ers 14 – Josh
Cardinals 9 – 49ers 6 – Eric
49ers win, 13-10. - Tyler B.
Packers (3-2-1) @ Rams (7-0): This game will be the first time two Cal Berkley QB’s will be battling against each other since 1983. The Packers coming off a bye week with Cobb and Allison returning could be huge. They are a 9.5-point underdog which is the biggest margin in Aaron Rodgers career. I believe that the Packers are being given no credit at all by the margin makers as 9.5 points is absolutely insane with Aaron Rodgers at the helm of any team. The Rams are the most dynamic team in the NFL, but their pass defense is faulty at times which I believe is their real test. The Rams offense is one of the best in the league, but without Kupp I believe they are missing a dangerous weapon in the passing game. This game will come down to the final drive and I am taking the underdog! Packers 38 – Rams 34. – Matt K
Rams 27 – Packers 26 – Mike
Packers 34 – Rams 33 – Scott
Rams 30 – Packers 17 – Javier
Packers 34 – Rams 28 – Josh
Packers 27 – Rams 24 – Eric
Rams win, 33-30. - Tyler B.
SNF on NBC @ 8:20 PM/ET:
Saints (5-1) @ Vikings (4-2-1): This is the game of the week as the Vikings have turned the slow start around and this should be a great battle. The Vikings offense even without Dalvin has some life meanwhile my one criticism of Kirk continues as he continues to fumble each week. The Saints pulled off a tight win over the Ravens in Baltimore last week and are now headed to Minnesota for a rematch of the NFC Divisional game that will live in infamy. The Saints offense is a really good unit and their defense is actually better than the numbers initially showed. I like the Saints in this game. Saints 30 – Vikings 27. – Matt K
Vikings 28 – Saints 27 – Mike
Saints 27 – Vikings 24 – Scott
Saints 31 – Vikings 27 – Javier
Vikings 28 – Saints 24 – Josh
Saints 35 – Vikings 28 – Eric
Saints win, 26-20. - Tyler B.
MNF on ESPN @ 8:15 PM/ET:
Patriots (5-2) @ Bills (2-5): If you can withstand the worst commentary team in the world to watch this one you should because Tom Brady is always enjoyable. The Bills with Derek Anderson are a bad team but if Peterman was their QB they would be horrendously atrocious. The Patriots are going to be without Michel but James White does the job week in and week out that Brady needs and they will be fine. Patriots will easily roll over the Bills. Patriots 32 – Bills 13. – Matt K
Patriots 35 – Bills 14 – Mike
Patriots 33 – Bills 16 – Scott
Patriots 34 – Bills 14 – Javier
Patriots 38 – Bills 13 – Josh
